Regional planting guide

Your Texas gardening region

AgriLife divides Texas into five regions on a map in its guide. Pick the one with the cities nearest you. We don't pick it automatically: the guide's regions date from 2014 and don't line up exactly with today's USDA zones.

Near a boundary? Check Figure 1 on page 3 of the AgriLife guide, or ask your county Extension office.

Choose your region to see fall planting dates.

Estimated harvest datesUnavailable

Not yet available. Our current source gives only broad ranges (like 30 to 60 days) and doesn't say whether they count from seeding or transplanting. You can record actual harvests in My Garden.
